LUCID - 2022
***** EdFringe Review
“Fluid, rich, surprising” Noises Off
Are you excited? Yes. I’m so excited. So am I.
What. The. Frick? It’s 2010 and we’re on the Year Six Isle of Wight trip. Last week, someone put a note in Toby’s locker pretending to be Lucy. We aren’t quite sure why. Now we’re in the worst dorm and there are only a few days until the disco. This is a play about dreams, about guilt and about the worlds we create in our heads. And Tom Daley.
Told with live foley and hilariously inventive physicality, Lucid is a play for anyone who remembers the ache of being eleven years old.
Debuting at the National Student Drama Festival, Lucid was then performed at ZOO Venues Edinburgh and the Chelsea Theatre in London. Lucid was developed with the support of Soho Theatre Labs.
